I think we all know this one:

Child has his meal.  Begins to get full.  Parent, perhaps after urging / ordering him to eat more of his vegetables, asks, "Are you done?"

Child replies that he is; he wants to leave the table and go play or watch TV.

Child then discovers that there is dessert in the offing and magically recovers a full appetite!

Out daughter is no different.  Her vocabularly is getting larger each day.  One word she clearly knows is "pie".  Which she loves.

"I flipped it over.  What's this brown stuff?"

"Mine is pretty good, but what have you got over there?"

"You're going to blog this, aren't you?"

  1. She is so adorable!! I am always excited when I see you've posted more photos. :D So glad she likes pie! What kind?

    1. Her tastes, not unlike mine, run towards creme pies. This was key lime. Happy to say that she will share... a little.

    2. Ooh, that sounds delicious! In response to the comment you left on my blog - Did you guys have a bad flight? I've never flown internationally and am extremely nervous about such a long day of travel. I think it's 12.5 hours to Taiwan (thankfully nonstop from Seattle!).

  2. I also want to say thanks for the long comment you left about spiritual matters. I keep pondering it and definitely want to read Mere Christianity again. I've read it once but it's been a long time.
